Mona is incredible and very friendly - I am a long term customer!
Service was quick, efficient, beautiful selection of dresses and warm atmosphere. Their prices are mid-high range, for very high-quality dresses. And they even honored a down payment I had three years ago for a previous purchase and return. Dresses are tailored to perfection. Flexible and easy scheduling. Their consultant Sonia needs an attitude check though. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.

I rarely write reviews (in fact this is the second one I've ever written), but for Mona, I had to. I first met Mona two years ago when my cousin purchased her wedding dress from her store. She had such a good eye for the kind of dresses my cousin was looking for and found her the perfect gown. When it came down to alterations, I watched her team as they looked over every piece of lace on her dress to make sure each piece was positioned and sewn on perfectly to her dress. Even though the dress was more than ready, Mona of course came over to take one final look.

I knew when it came down to searching for my own wedding dress I would end up getting my dress from Mona, but like every other future bride, I went to several stores around Toronto and the GTA to try on different dresses just to be sure. All the consultants I met were extremely nice and helpful, but my experience at Mona's was different for several reasons.

As I mentioned before, she has such a talent for finding dresses that look incredible on you. I wasn't entirely sure what to look for by the time I visited her because most of the dresses I found online that I thought I liked did not look nice on me. The hard part about searching for a wedding dress is that the dresses themselves are very hard to see properly when they're hung, and at a lot of stores, a large portion of the dresses are stored at the back. As a result, you end up putting a lot of faith in your consultant to find the dresses that you're looking for. Mona has an enormous inventory of dresses but she knows it incredibly well. When I asked her about a specific dress, she knew off the top of her head whether it was in her inventory or not and she knew based on what I had asked what other dresses to pull for me.

Mona also showed me all the ways I could alter the dresses I tried on. Everywhere else I went, I was merely told of all the changes a seamstress could make once I purchased the dress, which made me nervous because I couldn't really picture exactly what those changes would look like. Because Mona and her team of consultants are directly involved with alterations, they showed me on the spot what could be done. Instead of pulling the dress back with giant clips (which can make it hard to really see the dress), Mona put in pins, attached different kinds of straps (which to my surprise really transformed the look of the dresses), and re-pinned different things to show me what the dress could potentially look like. I think without her help I would've written off a lot of dresses because I wouldn't have truly seen how they would actually look on me. She is a true consultant in the sense that she knows exactly what dresses to pull for you and can see all the possibilities of how the dress could be modified to suit you perfectly, which, now having experienced it, I realize is such a critical factor in finding the perfect dress.

When I went back for my second appointment to get measured, I already had a dress picked out from my first appointment, but Mona suggested I try on a few new dresses that just arrived that she thought would look amazing on me, just to be sure. Am I ever glad I did! I had a beautiful dress picked out from my first appointment, but Mona found me a dress that is absolutely stunning! I am beyond excited to wear my dress when the day finally comes.

Mona is so, so talented and such a kind and genuine person. I never felt pressured to choose a dress and I always felt like she just wanted to help me find the perfect dress for my wedding day. She is truly amazing at what she does!

From what she's told me, she was taken care of very well by the helpful staff and had enjoyed her experience there, whether it was choosing her dress, going in for alterations and eventually picking up the dress before our big day. Every visit was great.
The staff are very professional and helpful. She went in to try dresses in April for our wedding which was in October, and learned that she was running out of time. Nonetheless, the ladies at Mona Richie worked their magic and my wife left with her dream gown.

Mona and family made me feel like I was part of their family. I had the best experience at this bridal boutique. I can say without a doubt that I couldn’t have picked a better place or been in better hands then I was with every single one of them. I’m a picky person and they made sure everything I asked for I got. When they couldn’t envision what I was envisioning in my dress, they literally let me design my dress exactly how I wanted it. I asked if they could put my dress on a mannequin to design certain things in my dress that they couldn’t see and that’s what they did. They gave me my own little space put my dress on the mannequin and let me design my dress the way I wanted it. I had pinned my dress the way I wanted my bottom portion of the skirt to be and then when I was complete and happy they did they sewing and alterations. I had people asking me if I was the designer of the dress. I was comforted by the entire staff and I’m so glad our paths had crossed and I said yes to my dress at Mona Richie. I don’t believe I would have been able to do that anywhere else. Their patience with me and dedication to make my dream dress was unbelievable, and I’m thankful to each and every one of them. Can’t thank you guys enough for everything you guys have done to make me happy and wear the dress that was personalized and created just for me on my special day! You guys will always have a special place in my heart and truly made me feel like family!
