Sweet Acres Pigs Sanctuary

We loved our first visit to the Sweet Acres Pig Sanctuary and I'm sure we will be back again someday! The owner was so personable and taught us about the care that goes into each of these beautiful pigs. You can tell she loves what she does and that made us love it too! We got to help feed them their breakfast, have hug/patting time and even some playground fun. Thanks for a lovely morning :)

Wonderful place. Gives you the warmest emotions. Piggies are so sweet and well behaved. You feed and pet them and spend maximum time with them. My best experience with farm animals in Canada so far. The owner Kirsten and her husband are the friendliest people. We will come again and again!

We had a great experience at the sanctuary with our one year old! Kirsten was super friendly and walked us through every step of the experience. The pigs were very sweet and gentle. Of course our little one was very eager to pet the pigs and may not have been as gentle as we would want but we kept a close eye on him and the pigs seemed to respond well. Recommend waiting until your kid is a bit older so they understand to be gentle or just hold them so they don't accidentally hurt the pigs. We even got to see the neighboring horse and feed the pigs.

The sanctuary is on a lovely property and has lots for the littles to explore and play with. Highly recommend as a fun little outing. You can experience it all within an hour or less.

Had a great experience visiting Sweet Acres Pigs Sanctuary. My kids and I really enjoyed getting to meet the pigs and hearing there (heartbreaking) stories. So happy that these pigs have been rescued and are now living what looks to be happy lives, in a very loving and comfortable home. The owner Kirsten shows so much love for her animals and you can tell just how much they mean to her. Thanks Kirsten for doing what you do!

This was one of the most wonderful places I have ever been to with my kids. Kirsten is genuine and down to earth--so easy going and a positve energy to be around. She loves every animal in her care and is truly dedicated to their happiness and wellness. It was like hanging out at a family friend's farm house. We got to feed the pigs fresh veggies and fruit and learn about them. This sanctuary operates by donations so please show support by giving what you can. I only wish I knew about them sooner. Go visit!!! Trust me you won't be disappointed!
