Well done pig roast, live music and amazing fireworks display to end the Labor day long weekend at Lake Clear. Kudos to the owners and organizers of this event.
Very friendly, accommodating staff. Having spent a large part of my childhood on Lake Clear it was a great experience to return with my kids and watch them enjoy the same things I did.
The cottage was cozy, not huge, but nicely updated, really you spend the time outside anyways. The campground is clean with nice walking trails. We had a pontoon boat for the week we stayed, no mechanical issues at all and the power was matched nicely for the size and the lake.
It's a great spot to either sit and relax or use as a base for exploring the immediate countryside, which is fantastic.
If you loons, you will love this place, if you love frogs, you will love this place, if you love snakes, you will love this place, if you love fishing 🎣🐟, you will love this place. If you love the view, you will love this place. The only issue I had was driving a big 7-8 passenger boat through narrow parked boats side by side. Not easy but I managed.
It’s home. We are seasonal campers here, and the community is so welcoming and willing to help whenever needed. Even if you are renting just a cottage you will feel like you are part of the campground. Part of the charm and character of Opeongo Mountain Resort is the people, the other part is that beautiful lake and the sunrise and sunset. You couldn’t find a better place to get away and just feel peace.
Nice little spot to relax and get away. Rustic cottages with fire pits look onto Lake Clear, with a trailer park behind them. Sand beach and the water is shallow - perhaps 3 feet at the deep part. Floating water slide and tippy climber for the kids. Rental pontoon boats, stand-up paddle board, kayaks and peddle boat. There's no tuck shop or organized activities, you're on your own. Getting firewood for a week was a challenge.
