I have had three children at this school (two still attending) so far out of 4. I have had mixed experiences. The current VP Mr. Lavoie, I can attest is absolutely amazing and 100% has a students success as his #1 priority and for that he has my respect. However, the current principle Mrs. Robbilard (however it’s spelt) has recently told my daughter she is a troubled student and it’s going to take time for people to trust her anymore. My daughter just moved home from an abusive situation 8 months ago and had missed over 100 days each semester in her old school (Rockland, Ontario). She is now not skipping classes at this school (missed a number of classes with one teacher/subject last semester due to that one teacher being problematic; apparently a lot of students have issues with this same teacher, but she did good at her other three classes) so her ignorant comments towards my child are completely unwarranted and unacceptable. Personally if she has an issue with my kid then she can address it with me. There is also a retired Principle Keith Haycock that continues to visit that school and is harassing my daughter which is also unacceptable. There have been a number of teachers I have met as well as student guidance councillors etc that are absolutely amazing so I don’t want to make it appear it’s a bad school just because of three individuals but they are almost bad enough to question things. I have noted a normal amount of bullying but find that when the school is notified it does take quick action against it. The programs that are available are amazing and so refreshing to see. I would just like to see an improvement in how adults speak to students especially ones they chose to deem “troubled”.
I graduated here and now so has the next generation.
I'm sorry that you got rejected, Darcy Mckee. It's an awful feeling, but why soil the school's Google Maps image for that? Really now.
