My AC broke on a pretty warm day a couple of weeks ago, and with a 8 month pregnant wife, I needed help immediately. I randomly called Barrie Mechanical as I found their name on Google - so glad I did! Even though Brad mostly focuses on commercial customers (he has a employee who focuses on residential too), he had a few minutes and quickly came over to my house (within an hour). He looked at my unit, and mentioned that the unit was too old, also asked to see my furnace, which was installed at the same time. I would have sunk more money into the unit if he hadn't advised me otherwise. Brad was able to provide me with a quote to replace both the furnace and AC the following Tuesday. Ultimately, I chose to go with a different company because I was able to get it installed on Sunday and hottest day of the year was coming on the Monday. I would have loved to give the business to Brad, but his residential installer was moving and wasn't able to help this particular weekend. Since I didn't buy AC and furnace through Brad, I wanted to pay for his expertise and his time, but he didn't want any money. So here I am writing him a review, which is the least I can do. Here's what I learned about Brad; he's professional, provided solid advise and recommendations, answered ALL of my questions and essentially armed me with all of the info I could need. And when I told him I was going in another direction he was graceful. I was in a unique position with my wife and time was the most important factor for me at the time.

Once again (we’ve used their company on a number of occasions) Brad and Barrie mechanical have done an extraordinary job with superb service. We were having temperature issues in our house and after speaking with Brad, learned there could be a potential CO issue. Brad immediately came to our home in Port Perry (which is obviously not a stroll down the lane from Barrie). The new furnace was seamlessly installed and the temperature issues are gone. The difference is actually unbelievable. This is the 4th job that Barrie Mechanical has done for us and the results have been consistently fantastic. If you have any any heating or cooling issues, there simply should not be another option you look to. I can assure that the quality of service and performance of the work will not be matched. Highly, highly recommend.

I manage a Retirement Home in Barrie, and the fan in our oven hood required immediate repair. Of course this happened on a Saturday of a long weekend. Brad was at our Retirement home within 35 minutes of the early morning phone call. Before leaving, he assessed all other gas appliances to ensure they were operating sufficiently. I am very thankful for Brads quick response, and our Staff and Residents are happy our oven is back on and safe to operate.
