Dr. Sumit Makkar, Dr. Diljaan Natt, Dr. Tomonori Yokogawa

Dr. Makkar is an extremely thorough and astute family doctor. He never rushes you and is always asking key, important questions about your health and reflections. It took me 2 years to find a physician after moving to Barrie and he has by far, surpassed all expectations I have had for a family physician. He has a great sense of humour and even called me one Sunday afternoon with test results that were of concern. With all of my health problems, he is ready to take action and certainly cares about the head to toe well-being of his patients.

My Wife and I were patients with Dr. Bond and when he retired he told us that he was sure we would be happy with Dr. Makkar. He was absolutely right on the mark. Dr. Makkar is a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable man. He takes the time to review results and explain them and is not hesitate to book me in to see a specialist or to labs for more tests. He always follows-up and has even called me on weekends or nights to tell me he has had read a lab result and forwarded a prescription to the pharmacy. I would recommend him to all my family and friends.

Dr Sumit Makkar was the most professional and kind physician I have come across thus far. He helped not only my ailing mother, but my young child as well... it was the first time my sickly kid was not scared! His bedside manner with kids is beyond amazing, and I am fairly certain my mother has a crush on him now. I would highly recommend him! Smart, kind and professional... a rarity in the medical world.

At the time Dr. Makkar took over Dr. Bond's practice I was concerned, I had been with Dr. Bond since he started his
practice in Barrie. Change can be difficult. But, after getting to know Dr. Makkar and his staff I realized I'd been given a gift. My care is exceptional, he never fails to address any of my issues, whether it's through tests or sending me to a specialist. Diligence is his middle name. I can't imagine anyone not feeling as I do. Thanking you Dr. Makkar for always being there for me.

I am fortunate to have Dr Makkar caring for my husband & I since he started his Barrie practice. The receptionist always answers the phone. I'm either given an appointment with Dr Makkar, the nurse practitioner or nurse depending upon my needs. They listen. They assess. They take the appropriate action and follow up. Not always an easy task to complete!
