(September 18, 2021, 8:51 pm)A truly awesome community, but they've been hobbled (throughout generations) by a weak and ineffectual model for formal membership. The younger crowd sees formal membership as irrelevant, so the result has been a demographic that only speaks for 20-25% of the church body. Who speaks for Christians in their 20s, 30s and 40s? (Just a disclaimer: I'm a 50-year-old Gen Xer and not an attendee at Hi-Way) The solution: abolish formal membership altogether.
