My husband and I had the absolute pleasure to have Jessie officiate our wedding. We gave her a run for her money lol We had given her and our guests less than a months notice. I don't know if we could've done it without her. She was helpful, punctual, funny, and most importantly she put her heart into it for us. She had us and all our guests in tears with the love story she wrote. Jessie, thank you so much again, for helping us create the most beautiful and memorable day of our lives. We are truly thankful!!
Easily one of my most favourite people. Very good at what she does...
We decided to get married with 11 days notice. And totally lucked out. We had Jessie conduct the ceremony with another very good friend of ours, Rosanne Irving. They incorporated our ideas, performed a smudging, married us surrounded by our friends in a circle and let us paddle our canoe to the altar. We genuinely felt blessed. It was intimate and beautiful 💞. Thank you and migwetch🛶
My entire family, on both sides of the world (Canada and India) have been singing Rev. Jessie Brandon's praises for almost a year now (indeed, it's taken me that long to sit down and write a review)! I can't thank Jessie enough for the beautiful ceremony that she led. She was the perfect fit for us: My soon-to-be husband and I had a very specific vision of our wedding, which included both Western and Hindu traditions. Jessie was thrilled to be a part of our multicultural/fusion wedding.
Above all, we wanted our wedding to be a space to share our love, and our love story. I knew that Jessie was the perfect person to do this when we met her in-person: she explained that, as part of her process for writing the wedding ceremony, she asks the bride and groom, as well as the parents of the couple, to answer a few questions independently. She then expertly weaves these sentiments into the ceremony, which, in our case, meant both roaring laughter and quiet tears of joy.
In addition to answering a few questions about each other, my husband-to-be and I were also clear on our responsibilities for the ceremony: Jessie sent us home with a sample script, and we knew what we had to fill-in, such as our vows and a reading. While Jessie supplied us with many beautiful readings, we selected a piece by Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore (whose name Jessie practiced and pronounced perfectly at the ceremony!).
When it came to the wedding day itself, Jessie was at ease with the family, she even popped in to say hello to me to present a special gift! Jessie is a very talented speaker--she knew when to pause for laughter, and when to quiet her voice to calm the room. I loved listening to her tell our love story and share the stories from our parents and bring to life the poem we selected. Thanks to Jessie, I laughed, cried, and enjoyed every moment.
After the ceremony, Jessie oversaw the paperwork, making sure all the details were correct and the witnesses knew where to sign. It was all submitted on time and we got our marriage certificate within 6 weeks.
Thank you, Jessie, for being a part of our perfect day. I couldn't recommend a better officiant.
I have attended many of the ceremonies my sister has officiated from weddings to funerals. I have always found she delivers a professional, thoughtful service. Her ceremonies are always based on the couples/persons personality & history with humour injected where appropriate. All the people involved that I've interacted with have simply loved the services Jessie has provided.
You can't go wrong by booking with Rev Jessie!
