Great selection of artwork! Worth the drive to Barrie! BONUS - Studio 737 pay the HST by deducting it off your purchase then adding it at the end....so the price you see is the price you get!
My family had been going to studio 737 for years when it was in Tweed which was
on the way to our cottage. Most times it was just to see what was new, but that
meant when it was time for me to buy some original art that is where I went. I
bought a beautiful autumn scene by the owner Arja Palonen, this was the third
painting my family purchased from 737. I just visited their new location in
south Barrie. I enjoyed seeing some of the familiar artist but they have a lot
of exciting artist new to me, I am glad I have found them again. I am sure you
will do just as well in your new location!
Studio 737 has many artists with almost every type of painting style. Even if you aren't currently in the market to purchase art it is a fantastic gallery to stop at to appreciate original art. It is also conveniently right off the 400 so it is right on the way as you enjoy the last few weekends at the cottage.
Gallery Studio 737, recently (May 2019) relocated to Barrie, ON. The Gallery has been successful in operation for the past 30 years,." It is one of Canada's oldest Gallery remaining in operation. As an artist myself I have been associated with the Gallery for close to 30 years. I can attest that it has not only one of the greatest collection of original Canadian Art for sale, but has also the best reputation in management and dealings with customers, with us Artist and in the Art Establishment. They carry paintings of over 40 Canadian Artists to choose from and the selection of art works is second to none.
Please visit them, I promise you will be in for a surprise.
Recently visited, and i have to say one of the nicest collection of Canadian artist that i have seen in the area (Toronto to Muskoka corridor). If you are looking for original pieces from some of Canada's best and cant afford the Group of Seven , there are wonderful pieces by Don Fraser (CBC artist and studied with group of seven) and many other artist. well worth the short drive from Toronto.
