It’s definitely a small town experience. It seems to be a place where all are welcome to come to sit and stay a while. Someone could probably write a novel about all the people that visit.
It’s great for community members to know there’s somewhere they can share some stories.
I like the lady who does my dads hair trim. She’s always nice and welcoming. Always gentle and does a good job.
Not bad , not my first choice to get my haircut. But I think the name should be called Second Choice or last Choice as I found this place to be rather strange.
I ‘mean I wished they would get off their chair when they cut hair and not swivel around in a office chair circling you. It was rather lazy.
I also didn’t like how they let their dog bark so much. It’s an adorable dog however it’s not the most practical dog I would keep in a barbershop unless it was trained properly and didn’t make you jump when it barked or bounced at the glass windows.
Also what an interesting crowd of locals that hung around and watched you get your haircut it that made you feel somewhat uncomfortable as they talked non stop about religion. I could have went into one of the ten churches for Stayner to listen to that.
Also I found it to be a bit pricey compared to the other barber in town who I found rather sketchy.
On a positive note I liked the building stone work and that the barber was resourceful when i asked them about a place to eat and shop in Stayner.
The barber seemed to a kind friendly person in her own set and ways but still likeable so that’s why I put three stars instead of one. I think in time it will get better
Friendly small town barbershop fantastic atmosphere.
