Yellow Walrus Cafe and Bakeshop

This bakery is hands down one of the best places I have ever been to. I live really far but make sure to stop by any time I am heading out to blue mountain or the cottage. I will literally go out of my way to make sure that it’s my first stop on the way up and last on the way back to the city. My favourite donuts are the Lemon curd and jelly filled but I have NEVER tried a single thing from here that I didn’t LOVE and obsess over. Not to mention this place has the most kind and caring staff everyone is so incredibly genuine, attentive, and doing the most to make sure you get the best service.

My Mom and I went to the Yellow Walrus Bakery today at around 3 pm.
I really liked the little cheese cakes I had the other day but I had a chocolate cannolli and Mom had a butter tart bar( they were out of butter tarts) this time.We both thought the pastry was dry almost stale.. I also saw a fly in the donut case.
My husband had a Boston Cream donut and said he really didn't like it.
They do have unique donuts such as smores and Carmel popcorn . The staff were very nice as well. I will go back to try the donuts. Maybe go a bit earlier when the pastries are fresher.

Hands down the best place to get donuts in the area! Light, fluffy and good enough to inhale. I am absolutely recommending this cafe to everyone I know.

Absolutely the best donuts I have ever had! I travelled over an hour to pick up a few boxes. Shared them with friends and everyone raved!! The jelly filled are my favourite, boston cream was a close second. The store has such a cute interior with a homey feel. Prices are very reasonable as well. Staff was super sweet and I will be coming back soon!

Room for improvement. Personally I’d like to see the bubble tea mix kept in the fridge as the ice didn’t make it cold enough and maybe some bubble teas made with green tea or black teas with flavours like mango and no milk/non-dairy. The donuts were good but not fantastic, and the staff didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. I understand the place is new so it will hopefully improve with time. I’ll have to try it again! :)
