I took Advanced Cruising course with Frank (and Ray) on Georgian Bay. It was my best experience since i started my sailing journey. They challenge me every day but also shared their experience, knowledge and journey. The food was delicious.

Frank was a wonderful host and an expert sailor. The food was delicious, and the experience memorable. I would certainly recommend the Basic Cruising course to those interested in learning the fundamentals of sailing.

Recently had our third week on board Compass Rose X with Frank and each week gets better and better. We completed the basic in Georgian Bay and the Intermediate in the Exumas with Frank a few years ago. This year we just wanted some time on the water at the end of lockdown.

Each week has been similar adjusted to the wind and weather each day - very hands on learning. Lots of discussion and Frank customizes his expectations to each student's current level. The food has always been plentiful, healthy, and delicious. The people we have met each week have been a pleasure to sail with - especially this last week back on Georgian Bay. We worked with Ray as well when we did our Navigation course and he is also knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Compass Rose X is 'decked out' for comfort and safety. Each cabin having its own head is a nice luxury and the cabins are comfortable.

Have to send a shout out to first mate Lena who added sparkle, music, and laughter to the week. Fingers crossed we can sail with Adventure Sailing Plus again in the south. This company provides a unique opportunity and you are guaranteed to learn lots regardless of your current sailing level and experience.

I spent a week with Frank and my sailmates on Georgian Bay in the Intermediate cruising course. I learned a ton which will give me more confidence to sail my own boat in more challenging conditions. Frank is extremely knowledgeable, and is a confident and effective teacher. The trip was well provisioned and very comfortable which made the downtime very enjoyable. I would highly recommend giving Frank a call if you are interested in learning more about sailing and the lifestyle that goes along with it.

It was a fantastic 5-day basic sailing course with Frank! I and my wife learned a lot and enjoyed it much. It was the first sailing experience for us. Highly recommended!!!
