Trent-Severn Waterway, Lock 45 - Port Severn

Friendly, helpful staff, keep the locks and boaters safe and under control

What a great first lock experience. Staff working there are very helpful and walk you through what you need to do for a first timer.

Good place to stop for a break with well maintained dock area and washrooms. Great views of the waterway and the lock itself is a fun experience.

I love watching the boats go through the locks here. Unfortunately, the bridge going across the the small town of Port Severn is closed! Therefore, no way to access the town unless you hope back onto the 400 and go down one exit and then drive back. I love Port Severn and all it offers as well.

This is a future 5 star review because the bridge is being replaced and I've been told by the locals it is a 2 year project. This is the last lock on the waterway before you hit Georgian Bay and looking out from my room to the northwest it really is a beautiful place. We're in the Rawley Resort which has a variety of nicely appointed rooms with views that in the summer will be busy with boats going through the lock.
