(July 19, 2016, 3:52 pm)What a great place to learn new skills and practise all types of handwork projects! Laurena is so knowledgeable and has a great way of teaching. Barrie is lucky to have such a talented teacher available within such welcoming space. It's so easy to drop in with a project and get just that little bit of confidence you need to take the next step. The space is perfectly set up with tools and machines but it's the people you meet there that makes it so wonderful. I have been to similar shops in Toronto but isn't it funny that one so close to home has the best vibe. I encourage anyone who wants to learn or relearn! to sew, quilt, embroider, knit or just create to check it out. I'm glad that I did.
(March 25, 2016, 2:45 pm)I love, love, love the Spool Lounge! Susan and Laurena are amazing...so patient and super awesome human beings. They will make you feel completely welcome and are open to helping you with any projects you have in mind. I love the vibe in there, and the variety of classes they have to offer...not to mention the beautiful fabrics and tools for sale too! You must check it out!
