Amazing pizza and gelato I love this place
Best pizza I have had iall year. Crust is hand thrown award-winning. Getting another pizza today. So worth the $$$$. Wish I could find this pizza in Toronto.
Came here for a nice dinner. I've eaten here before and the food has improved a lot. I had the trio of bruschetta to start which was very tasty. My wife had the lasagna Bolognese which was also great. We ate on the patio which was nice and socially distanced. I recall the interior being very eccentric, but didn't peak inside this time around. I was hoping to get a pizza (which I've heard is fantastic), but they only offer it as a take out option (a little weird). I was also a little surprised at the price of the pizza, but if it's good, it's worth it. Definitely next time. Service was friendly and prompt.
Pizza is amazing there. Highly recommended , totally worth a drive
Firstly, the Pizza is great. There aren't a lot of restaurants nearby, and businesses don't need to be amazing to survive here, but Piccolo's pizza is fantastic. Better than anything else nearby, or far away for that matter. That is why I gladly endure the following.
So, the restaurant is a low brick building with surveillance cameras, surrounded by an iron fence. The few windows are usually obscured by blinds. There is no clear signage.
The hours are extremely unusual, and are different for eating in and taking out. I'm not sure that they follow a regular schedule, so plan for the possibility of being rebuffed at the door. The pizza is only available on weekends, and not during typical dinner hours. You might need to wait outside for a while. If someone is there, and they feel like serving you, you can order through a small window. It's like the gatekeeper at the Emerald City.
If you happen to go inside, the place is an eclectic mess of piled decor, to put it nicely. It's a "cavalcade of crap" to put it less nicely. But it's interesting to look at. I think the place is charming. There's a dining room, and they serve Italian food, sometimes. I've never eaten there.
Anyway, the Pizza is great, and if you're nearby I highly recommend it. The owners are very nice. Don't complain, and don't ask questions.
