Hired Jennifer this weekend to be our private chef in Collingwood. The food and service was spectacular and would recommend to anyone looking for a excellent meal.
You need to take note whenever pop up brunches, lunches, and dinners take place here!
We spent part of a delightful Sunday afternoon savouring a delicious brunch with beer influenced cuisine accompanied by beer from Collingwood Brewery.
It was hosted by the wonderful Jennifer from FreshBaked in Midland with food from Malty and Hoppy Delicacy, Al Truistic’s Beer Bread Bakery, and The Baker's Bar. Amazing food, great company and conversation. We’re hoping they do this again!
We hired Jennifer as our private chef for our wedding dinner for us and 10 guests. What a great decision! She's amazing at what she does!
She was an absolute pro and a delight to deal with. Communications and the planning process with her were smooth and efficient.
We found she was extremely well prepared, organized and skilled. She showed up right on schedule with absolutely everything needed, prepared multiple courses of the most delicious food for us, and then perfectly tidied up everything at the end. We didn't have to lift a finger the whole evening or afterwards. What a treat and so worth every penny, which btw, is also worth mentioning... Her pricing is VERY reasonable!!
Jennifer's hospitality and culinary skills are extraordinary! She took care in ensuring we were all well looked after throughout the evening while simultaneously preparing an enormous meal! We were also impressed by how fluid and accommodating she was with adjusting the timing of various things she was preparing and serving to whatever our preferences were as the evening progressed. All of this couldn't have been an easy feat, but she expertly pulled it off.
Our menu included a charcuterie board (which was truly a work of art), an oyster bar, a fancy surf & turf dinner and dessert. The presentation and taste of everything was outstanding! She even went above and beyond providing some delectable surprise treats for us, which was so very thoughtful and appreciated!
Having now experienced Jennifer's private chef service, I would opt to do this any day over attempting to host a dinner party on my own or venturing out to a fancy restaurant. I've never before been able to host a dinner party and enjoy every single moment of it with my guests, stress-free, so this was a game-changer for me! Our guests all agreed it was also a great feeling to be able to remain in the privacy and comfort of our own space before and after the meal, enjoying the remainder of our evening together without fussing over clean-up or having to interrupt our evening and vacate the space.
We look forward to using Jennifer's private chef service again and I absolutely recommend trying it out yourself - your guests will love it and most of all, so will you!!!
Thank you Jennifer for providing an unforgettable experience for us and our guests!!!!
Jennifer is an artist. While her medium is food, her actual masterpieces are the reactions evoked when her creations are experienced. Jennifer doesn’t create just dishes; she creates moments.
Lest you think this artistry means that she is removed, unattainable, or unaffordable — quite the contrary. When I beheld the birthday cake that she created for my partner, I suggested that she was charging too little. She disagreed, and shared with me her philosophy. Jennifer wants everyone to experience great food, comfort, and delicious tastes. For her, this is service to others and to community. This is love.
I recently attended a wine tasting dinner event at Fresh Baked Consulting. The event was in partnership with Wine Journeys in Barrie. The food, wine, and the entire experience were wonderful. I’ve enjoyed Jennifer’s baking for over 30 years and have done baking and cooking classes with her before, but I had never experienced one of her dinners. Her four course meal was delicious. I have never liked shrimp before, but may now be a convert. Jennifer’s space is fun and gorgeous, an ideal spot for private dinners or small parties. She is a warm and welcoming host. I look forward to returning for more events!
