Paisley Lorna Doon Cafe

Best real ice CREAM around! A Wasaga Beach icon.. Pat has been serving my friends and I ice cream treats practically since sand was invented!! Our bus drivers were quite often seen at the end of a hot day, pulled along side of the road at the original location (*see more below) with tons of kids lined up to order yummy treats. My personal favorite is still the Strawberry Shortcake with a twist. Mounds of fresh, juicy strawberries surrounding a moist little cake with butter pecan flavour burst ice cream (the twist), topped with oodles of real whipped cream!! Mmmmm!!

From chocolate or vanilla soft serve, flavour burst ice cream, several flavours of cone dips, nuts, various fresh fruit toppings, hot fudge brownies, Nanaimo bars, banana splits, old fashioned milkshakes, parfaits, sundaes, and Razzles (16-28oz of ice cream blended with all the combinations you can think up..) Egg nog, Smarties, Reese peanut butter cups, Skor, coconut, marshmallow, the list is almost endless! Pat will fulfill your ice cream cravings! He accepts CASH only, but there is a bank machine on location if needed.

Word to the wise.. it is all REAL cream, not frozen milk with ice and air like those other places.. so it is VERY filling!!! He also serves frozen yogurt and cold drinks!

*.. a little tidbit of information if anyone is interested... there is a location at the west end of Wasaga Beach on 92 (Mosley Street) where the original Lorna Doon was. It is not the same place, nor is it connected in any way!! The current owners of that place purchased the property but not the original business name. They then opened an ice cream store in "the original landmark location", with a clever (although quite purposely misleading) new name, Lorna "Dune".

Chocolate Sunday was amazing i would highly recommend you try and very friendly staff!
