Not much has been easy during this COVID-19 pandemic however, the staff at Chartwell on Arundel Street went above and beyond to make moving my Mom into her new home as easy as possible. Nick, Stephanie, Crystal and Allison have been just a few of the amazing individuals who have helped make this move possible and my Mom's transition easier despite the many (and frequently changing) rules and regulations. The help I was given to plan and arrange the move and the extra attention Mom has received upon arrival has been greatly appreciated. The staff have been excellent in communicating with the family given the visiting restrictions and have provided extra assistance to Mom when needed. Thank you from the Niccoli and Carlson families!
Chartwell is an amazing place. The staff is always extremely kind and helpful!
From years of experience working with the staff of Chartwell in Thunder Bay, I continually become more impressed with the care given to every detail when it comes to their residents overall experience. From the social events, the cuisine, and the genuine caring staff, Chartwell locations in Thunder Bay set the bar when it comes to retirement living. Keep up the great work.
From the start of this adventure, I found Chartwell to be extremely helpful and accommodating. When I couldn't get a two-bedroom apartment at Isabella or Glacier Ridge, they quickly connected me with Nick at Chartwell Thunder Bay. From that point on, I feel that my parents and my family have been very well served by the team at Chartwell Thunder Bay - from setting up their apartment; making sure they are healthy and engaged as much as possible; and following up quickly on the minor concerns that I have brought forward. They have supported my parents through a very difficult transition from North Carolina (just as we headed into winter); cognitive changes; and health issues. As my mother noted to me - the weather is 'crazy' but the people make it all worth it.
Starting the journey of looking for a retirement residence for your parent is not the easiest task and can become very overwhelming quickly. I toured all retirement residence options in Thunder Bay- Glacier Ridge, Isabella, Hilldale (all chartwell), Walford (I would never recommend this location or would ever want my loved one living in the environment that they provide) and Chartwell Thunder Bay. Chartwell Thunder Bay was my last stop and was a location that I didn't really consider as my mom had a desire to stay in the intercity area- The minute I made contact with Chartwell Thunder Bay I felt like I was finally being listened too! I had the pleasure of book a tour with Nick who accommodated my request to have the tour later in the evening. Chartwell Thunder Bay is an outstanding property and offers a large summer patio, walking path, stunning back yard with tones of green space, views of deer with a clean and friendly environment. Nick took all my feelings of being overwhelmed away by just listing to me, something so simple. I knew very quickly that Chartwell Thunder Bay was the best and only option for my mom. I would highly recommend Chartwell Thunder Bay to anyone who is starting their journey into retirement residence options and would suggest to contact Nick to get the best experience.
Thank you to all the Chartwell Thunder Bay team! My mom loves her new home and family.
