H & H Auto Service & Towing

We came from out of town because our CEL was on, and got an appointment immediately. They took their time to find a working scanner and make sure our car was good. Gave us an answer with a great explanation as to what was causing the mishap and didn’t charge us, because nothing was truly wrong. Great guys and recommend them!

H & H provided exceptional service under extraordinary circumstances. Thank you for taking us in with such short notice and getting my rig and my canine crew back on the road to home during the COVID pandemic. Accurate diagnosis, efficient repair, and an honest price with a great attitude. 10/10 would breakdown in Thunder Bay again to spend a morning with these folks.

I gave them a call to have my clutch looked at after it started slipping about 2 hours outside of Thunder Bay, to get an opinion on whether or not the car could realistically get back to Toronto. I was only visiting for a few days after moving my brother up here and pulling 2000 lbs or so. Needed to know if I should risk driving back, empty and on flatter roads, with a slipping clutch.

Realistically they could have easily told me I shouldn't risk it, and I'd have to take them at their word. But no, the fellow who test drove it honestly told me the car could likely make it back home, and gave up on what would have been at least a $1k repair job. Didn't even want to charge me for the clutch fluid top up.

So while they didn't do any work, I felt I should leave a review here and let people know that they are honest, decent folk who just want to help.

Amazing and courteous service! My car battery died around 1:00pm, and I had my vehicle back by 4:00pm the same day. The woman who answered the phone was very polite and informative, and provided a cost breakdown when requested. I feel as though all my needs & wants were exceeded and I am very happy with the service that was provided to me. Would recommend to anyone in or passing through Thunder Bay.

My experience with H & H Auto Service & Towing was delightful. When passing through Thunder Bay for the holidays, my vehicle needed some repairs; I went to H & H Automotive, the service was exceptional. The repairs required were clearly outlined to me & expertly done. All-around pleasant experience, anytime I find myself in need of repairs, while in Thunder Bay, I will be going back to H & H Automotive, I would recommend anyone to do the same!
