Would be five stars as this is usually my favourite place and I just drove across town and even called ahead to check if they were open only to find they wouldn't serve all you can eat. I wish someone would have told me this over the phone before I came here. I was even already seated and ready to order by the time they me know.. and now everything else is closed and I work night shifts and won't be able to come for this for another few weeks. Bummer.
Pretty good for small-town, middle of Canada sushi. They don't give you enough wasabi which is strange. But Tom is the best and he always hooks you up with more. Tom seems like a nice young man, always has something to say and positive attitude like you wouldn't believe. I think he's from town, seems to know a lot about the area and has an appreciation for it. He said he'd lived in BC for a while and that was really nice, maybe would have stayed if his roommate wasn't so crazy or something. I'll have to ask him more about that next time. It's tough living with people, finding alone time and respecting each other's space. Right now I'm renovating my house and there isn't even a place to put a couch so me and my girlfriend don't have much space to do our own things. Makes it difficult. I was thinking of finishing the basement this fall but my mom said I was crazy and not to get started on that until I've finished some other projects. One of my friends was telling me about various personality types, and allegedly there is a type that never finishes projects once they have it all figured out in their mind. Understanding the solution is enough, then the interest dwindles. Friggin story of my life. I wish they had red bean ice cream.
***Update*** November 2019
We walk into a dimly lit room and are greeted by a familiar voice. The voice of an angel? Maybe. We are seated promptly and a plethora of delicious food is brought to us that seems to never end. At the end of the meal we sit in a collective silence rarely observed outside the end of a tremendous feast or hours of animalistic sex. Unsure what to do next we are suddenly met with the voice whispering "I can make magic happen". He does. To be continued.
Very busy place but they seem to be able to accommodate everyone. The staff work very well together and provide prompt professional service. The food is excellent. The service is great. Everyone is friendly and they make you feel very welcome.
Service was excellent. I believe her name was Courtney??!! We forget! Sorry. But she was great. Brunette lady.
Anyway....Portions are huge. Rolls were massive. Tofu was waaaaay too large. Salad rolls were huge as well. We were stuffed. Would be nice if sizes were cut down a little. No one wants to overfill on 3-5 items for an All you can eat night. Overall good. Just sized wrong.
The sushi buffet was okay at 2
$25 for all you can eat. The service is friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. If you're looking for quantity you will like this place.
