Breath of Henna

Where do I even begin. There are not enough words or stars to describe how emotional and impactful my experience was with Saira. I remember way back in 2019 (pre-pandemic) when I had first begun searching for my henna artist. I had narrowed it down to two vendors whose work I really loved and Breath of Henna was one of them. I remember speaking to Saira in our initial consultation and I honestly felt an instant connection with her. I love the time she put into getting to know me, my fiancé, our love story and my family background. I felt safe and a soulful connection. When my fiancé and I were picking our vendors it was really important to us that we built a connection as friends with all of them. Anything transactional was out of the question, because a wedding is an important milestone in one’s life and we were sharing it with anyone within our presence on those days.

From our first interaction leading up to the actual day Saira was a breeze to work with. We had to postpone our initial wedding date of August 2021 to July 2022. Saira was super accommodating with my schedule and went the extra mile to make sure everything was in place.

On my Mehendi day everyone was blown away by her skillful artistry and her enthusiasm. She brings a kind of calm energy and grounding aura that every bride needs. To me, she was like a sister, a friend, and my personal cheerleader all rolled into one day. Her work speaks for itself as you can see in the pictures. An example of Saira’s thoughtfulness - I had recently lost a close aunt of mine before the wedding and she made sure to celebrate her life by adding sunflowers to my henna diary as those were her favourite flowers. I had literal tears when I saw them.

Saira was also incredibly accommodating and flexible with our photographer and videographer team, often giving them suggestions and advice for optimal angles. Not to mention her aftercare is easily laid out in her info email/brochure that she sends over ahead of time and also checked in with me after the application to make sure I was following her recommendations to obtain the darkest stain. Honestly you will not regret having her at any of your events. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m so glad I trusted my intuition as I also gained a friend!

Saira is not like other henna artists. She is such a wonderful soul and your biggest hype woman during your wedding. Not only did she do amazing work on my sisters henna but also on mine! Her henna didn’t irritate my skin as she uses natural henna only. Usually I can’t wait till the henna goes away but she did such a beautiful job that I wish some of it would last forever. Saira did my bridal henna for my May 2022 wedding. She was extremely flexible and helpful with needing to postpone our dates twice due to the pandemic. Her consultations were extremely helpful to see what kind of styles she can make for me, and she goes the extra effort to know your story so she can incorporate that story into your henna. She is an amazing artist and made the experience very calming for me. I had also booked her for my mom, sister’s, and my young nieces henna which also turned out beautiful. She was extremely patient and helped capture these moments in a stunning way!

Saira is absolute gem of an artist! Her Henna designs make your hands ready for any occasion. Saira uses the best quality of Henna and it stains quite dark for many days with special care! She is very passionate about her work, but best of all her personality is like no other! She makes you feel at ease and so relaxed...it's quite therapeutic! I'm so happy with the results of the Henna and her beautiful artistry. People are still commenting positively after a week and a half! I'm very fortunate to be adorned by her amazing talents! She took care of my whole wedding party (which included 30 women!) in one evening, chatting with them while she created flawless designs for each of them. They all were so moved by her incredible talent and ability to connect so authentically with each and every one of them.
