Have not been there, nor dealt with them but they came highly recommended. If you love white and ultra Euro style this is the guy for you.
Excellent Interior Design Company!
I have had the great pleasure of working with Johnson Chou and his team on 3 projects, each one being an inspiring and successful endeavour.
Our first project was the renovation of our second Pixelcarve office at 96 Spadina Avenue. The space was in an old, run-down, concrete building which was formerly used as a sewing factory. We were concerned it would be an overwhelming and expensive challenge. But Johnson and his team created a space so beautiful, unique and functional, that to this day (8 years later) our landlord still tours their potential tenants through it as a benchmark of the design potential for this building.
As importantly, Johnson Chou were able to work with our budget limitations, and their project management ensured it was done ahead of schedule.
This is representative of the firm’s creativity, innovation, commitment to excellent, and design methodology that uses narratives, client portraits, and brand development to create compelling spaces of both purpose and beauty. Their work has directly led to the elevation of our brand image in the industry, and incalculable new business due to the level of trust and professionalism that it immediately establishes. Plus, it perfectly captures and reflects our personality, style and values.
The next project I worked with Johnson Chou on was a much larger scale but equally as successful. The project was the common area renovation of 2 condo buildings downtown, including 2 lobbies, a lounge, and over 50 stories of hallways. As a Board member of these buildings, I was impressed by Johnson Chou’s ability to work with the procurement requirements and politics of this type of project. He and his team met with us multiple times, toured our Board and Sub-Committee for site visits of other spaces they had designed, went through a competitive bid process, and even presented at our Annual General Meeting.
Once engaged, the Johnson Chou team impressed by capturing the unique personality of our community and created a visual narrative that beautifully portrayed our dream living space. They also worked closely with us and the trades to ensure it came in under our budget and was completed on-time. The building has since experienced a more than 100% increase in property value, due largely in part to the elevated brand quality in the marketplace.
Because of the high level of trust, respect and admiration I have for the Johnson Chou team, I also engaged them to design my personal residence – a penthouse in a pre-construction building. The project entailed working with my wife, myself, and the developer to create our dream space. Due to certain architectural constraints, this project required some very creative layout solutions. Johnson Chou’s team again solved seemingly insurmountable space design challenges, portraying expert skillsets at not only making spaces breathtakingly beautiful, timeless and personal, but also functional.
I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it is to work with Johnson Chou and his team, other than to say try it for yourself and you will be delighted with the results. When the project is done, you will wonder how you ever could have done it without them.
I've had the opportunity to work with Johnson Chou and his professional design team on two condominium redevelopments in Toronto. His modern, minimal style is versatile and he has (successfully) proven that he can work outside of his comfort zone on older buildings, as well as current and upcoming developments. Johnson's insight into interior architecture and creating functional environments has been very well received by our clients. I have hand selected Johnson and his talented, competent team to for each of the residential and commercial projects my company will be redeveloping in the years ahead. His passion, vision and design nomenclature is congruent with our branding and redevelopment strategies; I've since forwarded him onto numerous future clients.
P.S. For the person that impersonated me (Marky Stables), writing a review to slander Johnson Chou and his team, I suggest you begin familiarizing yourself with the terms slander, libel and defamation of character... Google knows things: like the definition of 'coward'.
