Completed my field placement here as a student, very warm and nice place. Staff are all friendly and supportive, I see a wonderful environment here. Feel very lucky and happy that I could do my placement here!
Plains Road Child Care is a priceless gem. We have been fortunate to have such wonderful, caring staff, to ensure that our children are under watchful eyes with a touch of "love and tender care". As a rookie mom a few years ago, I had the common hesitation and some doubts, like any other parent, whether we should proceed with enrolling them in daycare in the first place. I questioned then, whether the daycare staff can provide the kind of nurturing, tenderness, sensitivity/ discipline more than what we can provide for them if they were to stay at home. Luckily, we made a good decision in enrolling our twins here. We start off with the infant room, where each child has their own little crib, clean and tidy at all times. Little by little, as we got to observe each staff, it was the most easiest transition... as each one truly showed compassion when caring for our each child. We got to know each staff member from the infant room to toddler and to preschool room... and for me, personally, this mattered b/c they are the extension of our home as our children spend most their time with them during the week. Each class, geared with many activities and countless lessons that i always looked forward to hearing about their day as to what their teachers taught them. The staff members are truly appreciated, and I have to say, this is one of the most priceless facility I would recommend to anyone.
We've had all our kids attending here for the last few years. It has been great. It's also been really nice that they will do P.A. days and the few other days that school is off (like Easter). Very welcoming director and staff and got a chance to sit on the board which is made up only of other parents of kids going here. It's also nice that they do the option of warm lunches for the kids when they are in the school. Takes the worry off us for making lunches.
Plains Road CC is a part of our family. Our first child was enrolled at 11 months of age in 2006 and received the most exceptional, loving, nurturing, while structured care that one could imagine. She was enrolled until she began SK-French (almost 4 years) so keeping her there was not feasible. The continuity of experience was echoed when we enrolled our 2nd child nearly 9 years later, 2015. To say that we had anything but great care would be a farse. ***I would like to note that ALL children, when enrolled in a public care setting for the very first time, experience early fevers, sniffles, viruses, etc. It's either in an infant room or it's in JK...but it happens!
