(January 30, 2023, 3:12 pm)I originally went to Canada Computers with my failed HDD who happily took $40 from me and kept my drive for a month only to come back with a quote of over $2000 to get it fixed... I then found Data Lab who were very reasonably priced and had my drive back to me within 1 week. They were also able to recover 99% of the data. They also have fantastic communication throughout the process so you always feel in the loop.
(January 22, 2023, 5:45 pm)The Data Lab 247 Team are absolute pros. We had data locked into two very old Mac towers and a Western Digital hard drive (forgotten passwords for the first two; and damaged case for the WD that made it impossible to physically connect it to our computers).
The Data Lab 247 team picked up the devices, quickly performed diagnostics, sent evaluations and estimates for recovery, and proceeded in short time to recover and provide all of the data.
Their communications are professional, clear, efficient and succinct and they work fast. There's a bit of a sci-fi element to the whole thing, like something out of a William Gibson novel.
