Sugar & Spice Cafe and Ice Cream Spot is a hidden gem amongst many chain restaurants and cafes in the area, a must-try if you're coming up from the lakeshore.

I just finished my Jerk Chicken Meal that was made by Sonia and her son Joshawn at Sugar & Spice Cafe and Ice Cream Spot in Etobicoke.
I learned that they are Jamaican, and myself having been there on several occasions and constantly craving that taste of fresh cooked right in front of your eyes style, they really hit the mark.
The food is authentic, absolutely delicious, the portion was more than generous. The best part was that it was not a "fast food" experience. As someone who knows and loves cooking, this lunch made my day.

The lemonade beverage was so good I felt like I should go and roll up my sleeves to help Sonia squeeze the juice... you can tell that there was serious effort in putting it together.

The staff are so welcoming , you immediately feel comfortable when you step in the store. The ice cream was soooooo good, and the waffle cones are fresh and go perfectly with whatever flavour you choose. I'll definitely be a returning customer ☺️☺️☺️

Sonia the owner is friendly and so accommodating as well. Her Bang Bang shrimps and that sauce is legendary. It is worth so much more. Sonia to me is like my very own gourmet chef.
