Da Endz doesn’t skip on flavour! The mac and cheese was thick and creamy with a nice layer of melted cheese on the top. The star was the barbi fried chicken though. The skin was crispy and has an amazing sweet glaze. The chicken was also super tender. Highly recommend and can’t wait to try more from here. Bonus to the whole experience: Camille and Cameron, are really friendly and lovely to chat with. They make you feel like you’re coming in for a home cooked meal!
Living in the area, I have walked past this new venture of soon to be restaurant owners that specialize in culturally dynamic food choices in a confined space hidden on the ground floor of an office building. Today, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. We tried “Da Endz” Caribbean cuisine. To put it lightly, we were pleasantly surprised! The Smokey Mac and cheese was just as its title describes - smoky with an abundance of cheese. We also tried their wings. Wow! Perfect crispness and their size and sauce were to die for! Bravo! Camille’s hospitality was friendly without being over done. This is a must try and a new found gem in which we plan on visiting more often to try their other dishes. :) Thanks for a great meal!
Amazing place for Jamaican comfort food! I tried the oxtail w. smokey mac. Sooo delicious. What a great combination of flavours. The mac and cheese was super cheesy, smokey, melty and piping hot. The oxtails were very tender and flavourful.
Portion size was nice given the price! (There's mac & cheese underneath the oxtail too).
And the customer service was great - Camille and Cameron (sorry if I misspelled those) were so friendly and made an effort to get to know me. They also threw in a side of cornbread which I would definitely buy next time - so fluffy and delicious!
Do yourself a favour and visit Da Endz!!!
EDIT: Cajun Shrimp and Rasta Pasta is now my new favorite.
The Oxtail Smokey Mac is heavenly. The oxtail is very tender and flavourful while the mac has the right amount of cheese. It's especially delicious when you mix the gravy/sauce from the oxtail into the cheese from the mac, it balances the flavour and makes the mac feel lighter and tastier. It comes with a cornbread and it is one of the best I ever had.
Camille and Cameron are definitely one of the friendliest and inviting human beings. They are very accommodating as they let me order when I was there a whole hour before the store opens. And I really enjoyed chatting with them while I was waiting for food.
The place is quite hidden, it is located in the Food Learning Innovation Place (F.L.I.P.) at the ground floor of 5200 Yonge St. Go into the building under the office entrance sign at 5200 and turn right.
It is really awesome to see more variety in the area. I would really recommend trying out Da Endz, especially if you want to have a break away from East Asian food.
This new takeout spot tucked inside an office building definitely deserves more love. The Smokey Mac with Oxtail is next level. I also tried the Cajun shrimp bowl with Rasta Pasta with an amazing sweet sauce for the shrimp. The festivals and cornbread were hot and fresh. Everything was made to order but it only took about 15-20 minutes. This place is a hidden gem! Camille and her husband started this small business during the pandemic and they are awesome people! I’ll definitely be back, and I’m looking forward to the authentic jerk chicken in the summer.
