Preserves Ontario history in this 100+ yr old home once owned by John McKenzie. Odd to find a heritage home amongst glass condo buildings along Yonge but this would've been rural farmland in the 1910's and would've been quite the trek to get to from York (downtown Toronto) at the time. It must've felt like a drive to Muskoka today. A mishmash of architectural styles doesn't evoke synergy in design as it has touches of craftsman, queen anne revival, etc to it but is still an interesting building. Not to mention an original stained glass window on the 2nd floor landing with Russian influence. Don't miss the original milkhouse and stable at the back.
Beautiful flowers and green habitat. ...great place for walking
