Wonderful place to learn French. The teachers are very knowledgeable and experienced. They also have online classes now.
I've been a student at L'ecole Napoleon for almost three years. I really struggled during the first three months or so, but I was not discouraged, and the teachers were very helpful. I intend to continue my study there for many more years. Why? Good school and curriculum, with excellent teachers and methodology. And the classmates are wonderful too! I learn French as a "foreign language", (to help prevent Alzheimer's disease,) and I aim for comprehension, as well as general conversational skills in French. The study materials and teaching techniques suit my objectives well. The course structure is also flexible enough to allow minimal "loss" in case I miss a class or two due to work or vacations, (which inevitably happens every single term.) The instructor, M. Guy, is dynamic and well versed, so we learn not just the French language, but we have excellent animated discussions in class too. This keeps me and my fellow classmates very motivated to learn, which is a very important factor to effective learning and having a good enjoyable experience!
I started taking individual classes with the school in 2016, and at the time didn't know any French. I was fortunate to come across their program that allowed me to build my French language and improve it without the need to be immersed in it abroad. The program is quite remarkable and where I started at "0", today French is a language I am comfortable in using to travel, work, and discuss with friends abroad in.
The school teaches a more "French" french as opposed to the other accents and focuses very heavily on building a concrete grammar base. Even though I sometimes take breaks and lose some vocabulary, my grammar base is strong enough that I don't lose my French skills and only need a vocabulary refresher every time I pause.
As I take individual classes, the school is very flexible with my schedule and have always tried their best to successfully accommodate my personal time.
Our daughter (Karesa's) French teacher is amazing. We tried other schools before finalizing on Ecole Napoleon. She has made visible progress and is always excited to attend the class. The best choice we made and we plan to continue here.
Very impressed by École Napoléon in their education of my son. I was looking for a school type atmosphere not a day care for my son to learn french. Monsieur Guy is his favourite teacher at the school and I can see why, he is very patient with the kids and is genuinely concerned with their well being. Every once in a while I arrive a little early to pick my son up and listen in on the class and I am blown away by the fact he is able to communicate entirely in french.
