First Place Homes

First Place turned the house we had been living in for 20 years into our dream home! Our house backs onto a tree-filled park so we didn't want to move. This was a complicated job as it entailed removing structural walls to open up the main floor. Harvey and his team did a spectacular job. Part-way through the renovation, we decided to expand the scope to update the entire house in addition to the main floor. First Place went above and beyond to work with us and our architect to make that happen. The result is a stunning contemporary home that features all glass in the back, bringing the nature of the park into our home.

We hired First Place to renovate our home. We found in Harvey a person with tremendous knowledge about how houses work. He anticipated what needed to be done in the right order, and was able to arrange for his subcontractors to come when they were required. He had a detailed budget which allowed us to know in advance the costs, and he kept to the budget since with his expertise we were able to avoid surprises. During the build he was present, and we could tell how much pride he took in our project. It was clear he truly cared. The result exceeded our expectations. We enjoy the fruits of Harvey’s expertise each and every day. We have just hired Harvey to do a new project.
