Utz Custom Homes

Utz Custom Homes completed a contract in our home between August to September 2021. They did painting, replaced floors, restored original hardwood stairs, replaced kitchen cupboards and completed several other tasks such as fixing floor boards and replacing light fixtures. We were very pleased with the results and experience and we have nothing but good things to say about Tyler Utz and everyone on the team from each trade that was involved. Tyler and the team were very quick to respond to our requests, provided regular updates on status and pricing, and there were no surprises along the way. Utz Custom Homes came in to finish the basement project I had started. I had framed the layout but stopped after that and didn't touch the project for years. Tyler and his team came and finished it all. The bedroom, gym, bathroom and family rec room all came together on time and on budget!

Utz Customs Homes plans for it all! The project time-line and communication was 10/10. Health and safety were always respected with the sub contractors, masks were used when in common areas. Dust control on projects like this are hard to keep reined in, but Tyler did use barriers and kept a very clean jobsite.
The subcontractors used were great with working around the animals in the home because it was made clear to them prior to being on the work site what to expect. Again great communication.

The quality of the work is top notch. Fit and finish are very well done. Recommendations made regarding sourcing products were always on par with our budget and were top quality. And when we wanted to use somewhere different than what was suggested, there was no pushback. We chose a different carpet store and installer from a job we had previously done and there no problems.

Overall, if you are looking for great quality, excellent communication and sticking to time-line and budgets, then Utz Custom Homes is for you. Tyler was great to work with, very personable and knowledgeable in his field!

I highly recommend Utz Custom Homes. Tyler and team recently completed a renovation at my son and daughter in-law’s first home. I was so impressed with the quality of the work that I hired the them to renovate my powder and laundry room. Everything turned out beautifully. I would say Tyler went above and beyond. He provided daily detailed updates with pictures and was always available to answer any of my questions. He even gave me some good decorating tips. The project was completed on time and budget. Great job Tyler. I can’t wait for my kitchen renovations in the spring.

The whole Utz Custom Homes team was amazing. My husband and I bought our first home in March and we knew right away work needed to be done for we could move in officially. From the moment that my husband and I met with Tyler he as able to see the vision for our home and help us piece together every single detail. . He was able to work within our budget and talk us through every little detail. His communication is outstanding, sending notes and pictures many time throughout the day and always updating the schedule as things are completed. Our whole main floor was redone, we took a wall down, Laid new floor and installed a brand new Kitchen and new paint throughout. The upstairs bathroom was a mess when we got it and it was gutted, new double vanity and soaker tub installed. I could not say more amazing things about the Utz Custom Homes team!
