Xavier's School of Music

My kids are going to Xaviers School of Music (XSOM) for the past 3 years and we are very happy with the results we are getting. Our older one has cleared her RCOM (Royal Conservatory of Music) Exams with 84%.

I have found Nathanael Xavier to be a consummate professional who is is sincere, attentive , timely, flexible, empathetic and accommodating. He has a penchant for music which adds a flair to his teaching style. To top off, his fee is reasonable too and perhaps on the lower side.

My older one was studying at OCOM (Ontario Conservatory of Music) earlier but we brought here for one to one sessions which have worked wonderfully and we have not felt the need to look elsewhere. I would recommend the Music School to anyone who is looking for music classes at a beginner, intermediate & advanced level.

To add , switching to online classes due to Covid , we were apprehensive at first .. but now we do not find any difference in the instructions or grasping of it . I would also recommend a $30 goose neck tripod which Nathanael also uses which helps project an overhead view of your piano with the keys and fingers moving so that comprehension is clear on both sides ... I should have brought one earlier !!

My two boys (7 and 15 years old) are taking piano classes with Nathanael. We are incredibly happy with Nathanael’s teaching style and affordable rates.
My youngest started his piano classes when he was only five years old. We started with short sessions and increased them in length when the time was right.
The 15-year-old started his piano classes half a year ago. He started with no piano knowledge and is now showing great progress, learning to play the pieces that he likes, and getting educated on music theory.
Nathanael was able to adjust his classes to the needs of each one of my children. They both enjoy the classes, show unbelievable progress, and complete their daily practice with enthusiasm.

Nathanael is a fabulous music teacher and he really connects with his students and challenges them. Our daughter is learning to play the piano and while developing RCM skills with repertoire and theory, she enjoys learning songs of her choice. So far, she has learned to play Disney’s “Let It Go”, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman”, and “Speechless”. Our son is taking violin lessons and he enjoys classical music and folk songs. It is wonderful that Nathanael can accommodate students’ interests in different genres, making music fun and developing their passion. Our son started as a beginner with no experience to taking his own initiative experimenting with harder pieces. We are very happy to see our children enjoying music. His one-on-one approach caters to each of our children’s needs. He is easy going while being fair with them. We have an open line of communication and his flexibility works well with our family needs. We highly recommend Xavier’s School of Music.

During this crazy pandemic I was trying to find a great keyboard online class. Am so so happy we got connected to Nathanael, he is so good with my son. The classes are financially affordable and easy to adjust time. Even if we have forgotten Nathanael has been very accommodating. My son thoroughly enjoys his classes and has learnt quite a lot. Definitely recommend Xavier's School of Music !

Nathaniel has been our piano teacher for my 10 year old for almost a year. He has been wonderful. Not only does he explain everything simply for her to understand, he also exhibits a lot of patience while she is learning. He always encourages her to do her best no matter how hard it may seem. He offers good feedback and most importantly, he tailors her lessons to her needs and wants. That is what has kept her interested. He will design her lessons in a way that keeps it attainable and she is very happy to continue learning what she likes. Highly recommend Nathaniel!
