I've been taking violin lessons here since last September. I did not know it can be that much fun. While being patient and encouraging teacher, Sophia pays close attention to positions and intonation, and correct them to make sure I build good playing habits. In addition to that, she explains music theory & background of the pieces. In terms of the teaching materials, she used a combination of scales, etudes and pieces from the Suzuki books for me. I think it's a good balance for building foundation, practicing techniques and enjoying good pieces of music. I definitely recommend her for anyone who's looking to learn violin, either as a beginner, or as an experienced player!
My son has been taking violin lessons with since 2018 at Kennedy Piano Studio, for both in person and online lessons. I am very happy with my son's progress. Sophia patiently works to improve the sound and technique using fun games and stories that my son adores.

My daughter just passed the Royal Conservatory of Music exam with a mark of 88 and I am so proud of her. Lana is her teacher and she is a exceptional professional, that loves to teach and put so much energy and enthusiasm into it. The recitals are very well organized and the studio prepares their students very well. She studio is a warm and welcoming environment for both parents and students. I am looking forward to start piano competitions next year. I truly recommend The Kennedy Piano Studio. We have been there for many years and I am so glad I found this place.
I've studied with Lana for the past 6 years during which I've grown from beginner
to the grade 9 RCM piano level. Always looking forward to the next piano exam
and amassing certificates at the next piano competition, but of course the biggest
joy of lessons is working on new music itself! I genuinely enjoyed her style of teaching and she really does put a lot of thought an care into each of her students and you can really feel it. I feel like I've learned so much in the past years and it really helped me connect to and develop a joy for music.
While in Kennedy piano studio’s waiting lounge- equipped with wall size dry-erase board, and mini library-I’ve heard the cool jazz riffs of an advanced player and the teacher’s patient instruction of a beginner pianist. We are fortunate to take our lessons from Patrick and his thoughtful instruction and encouragement is constant.
I also appreciate Lana’s insights as the path to playing a musical instrument is not a simple one.
My young children are both reading music, ready to perform the pieces they’re working on, and also loving to improvise at home. Very happy to have found the right teacher at Kennedy piano studio.
My daughter completely enjoyed being here, and her teacher met her right in the middle and played to her skill set. My daughter smiled everytime it was piano class and it really gave her confidence.
This is the great place for students to learn music. We took our 8 year old son to other schools and he refused to study piano but he changed his mind here. He loved the school from day one and has been enjoying his time with his teacher. Now he can play a few songs on his own after a few months of studying. His passion to piano is really thanks to the dedication of the teacher and how they deal with children.
Communication with Lana is also clear. She is absolutely a very nice person to talk to.
Strongly recommend for anyone who want to study music.
