Humber River Dogs

Jodi did a great job in helping me train my poodle puppy. She was always available to give sound advice and tips to help me deal with the puppy stage of life. Couldn’t have done it without her! She taught me that patience is the key when training your dog and they ultimately want to please you. I highly recommend her services.

Jody was so helpful in prepping us for both the arrival of our rescue pup and then helping us get started on training once he was here.

Jody is very talented at reading a dog’s body language and actions to get to the root of an issue your dog may be displaying. From there, she teaches you the tools to address the issue through training. We also learned a lot about reading our own dog in this process which has proven to be an invaluable tool.

We also really appreciated being able to text Jody here and there when something new came up that worried us. It was nice to get her take on something new before it became too much of a habit. Thank you to Jody for helping us have a great start at life with Bear!

HRD did a home service visit (outside) with us when we first got our new puppy. Jody did a fantastic job covering all the basics with us and providing us with amazing tips from napping, nighttime sleeping, potty training and behavior. She is very knowledgeable and excellent with dogs. Her training methods are kind to dogs and could be easily incorporated into our routines. Now that he's a teenager and going through some new behaviors we're about to have more sessions.

Jody at Humber River dogs has been tremendously helpful in helping us socialize our golden doodle that we got when she was already six months old. Our dog is now much more confident and continues to bring us joy every day.

As a first time dog owner I needed a quality advice how to deal with an unruly teenager pup! Cue Jody! She guided me and Tiger though specific steps and exercise to decrease and stop his high response to pray drive. It is a teamwork and if you follow the guidance, you will also bond with your dog. We're in a much better place after Jody's 'intervention'.
