Lucky's Chicken n' Waffles

There's nothing better than good, crispy and delicious fried chicken sandwich, and Lucky's does not disappoint! My friend recommended this spot to me and said it's a must try and she was right! Got this sandwich and drove back to my house which is 20 minutes away and it was still crispy and the bread wasn't flaky. Cannot wait to go back and eat this over and over again. Also, treat yourself and get an order of the deep fried Oreos. So. Good.

We tried Lucky's last week and it was AMAZING! The chicken, fries and waffles were so delicious. Service was outstanding - the options were explained to us and we even got free fried Oreos for being first time customers! We held onto a little device to let us know when our order was ready so we were able to walk around the block while we waited. Really good value (we ordered the Tue-Thu special but even without that, their prices seem very reasonable), really great taste and excellent customer service. Will definitely be back. Great addition to the neighbourhood.

Update: we tried the chicken sandwich on a subsequent visit and you should believe the hype - it was excellent! Nice crispy but tender chicken in a nice bun. Sooooo delicious. I didn't want to eat fries at first (calories and all) but I remembered that these are the good fries, not the frozen generic kind. So yes it was a decadent meal but don't we all deserve that once in a while?

Love this new addition to the neighbourhood! Chicken is super crunchy and made to order. Poutine is pricey, but addictively good. Also, really impressed that EVERYONE is wearing masks (both front and back of house staff).. thank you for keeping us safe. I'll be back again soon.

I got take out from Lucky's. It was a 15 minute drive home. Yet even after sitting in the box the chicken was still so juicy, tender, and audibly crunchy. This will be my new go to fried chicken spot. The chicken is perfectly seasoned. The waffles are not too sweet and pairs perfectly with the chicken. And their Lucky's maple sauce is amazing.

I wanted to write this review as soon as I took my first bite, I'm finished eating now. First impressions walking in, clean modern environment. Was greeted by the owner who was friendly and he kindly walked me through the menu. Now they must have some sort of fry-smith in the back because they're cooking up some magic back there. Crispy isn't the word for this chicken, and not as greasy as you would expect. Light and fluffy, and cooked to order. Their "yard sauce" is unique and unlike anything I've ever tried and seriously addictive. Then topped off with them deep fried Oreo's? Pfsh! They were absolutely delicious. Perfect balance of sweet and savory with the most fluffy batter. It's great to support your local restaurants, supporting these guys won't be difficult. Job well done.
