I'm so happy I found this company, after a complete nightmare with ADP, Payworks has certainly restored my faith as a good quality payroll service. Huge kudos to Brandon Quiring (Winnipeg office) our assigned customer service rep who is always helpful, patient, quick response time and gives the best easy to follow instructions when we need help. I highly recommend Payworks !
My wife's employer uses this service, we've never experienced any issues or service disruptions. The user interface is very well designed and intuitive.
One year ago I moved from the largest payroll company in the world to use payworks. I'm a small business with about 30 part time employees and I'm on a monthly payroll cycle. The previous supplier I used said they were innovative and supported small business but they did not do a great job. They used excel spreadsheets, only offered a payroll service, and used antiquated software that required an engineering degree to figure out. After 7 years with them I was actively looking for a different supplier. I needed payrol, a timeclock system, storage in the cloud, and a scheduler for my staff. I was previously using 4 different systems that did not work together, and my monthly payroll would take up to 3 days to prepare. Forget about the scheduling portion. Payworks was able to offer me Payrol, Staff Scheduling, a Time Punch Clock and abscence management, all of it in the cloud. The time I spend on Payroll, scheduling etc. is less than an hour each week. And they charge 1/3 of the cost of just the payroll company. And bonus they can do all of it without paper, and they offer an employee portal, so employees can see the details of their time, schedule and payments. I would not go back and I tell all of my colleagues who run their own small business as well. Any hiccups I've had or customer service issues are primarily of my own creation. This is a great offering and its all Canadian to boot. That was also a bonus for me.
I don't understand why payworks is receiving one star reviews. This is a great system. It streamlines everything. My work has a complex pay system and this makes it easy to follow. Not only that, but I constantly have questions about how to adjust things, issues on our end, not payworks. They are quick to answer the phone, and EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE knows the process for everything. I am extremely grateful for this system and use it religiously. Thank you for all you do, my employees are very happy.
I have been using Payworks for four years for our small business. Like the other poster, the only issues I've encountered have been my own doing. We have our own, dedicated small business rep that's very responsive and if she's away from her phone, I call the main line and get answers to my questions immediately. Nothing but good experiences.
