More than what I was expecting!
The SportClips on the Queensway definitely surprised me today when my normal barber was closed. I came in without an appointment for a basic trim around 4:30 PM.
I was greeted by a friendly Nicole who brought me over to her chair after waiting for about 5 minutes. I was given the "MVP package" as a first time visitor which included a cut, hot towel, wash, head and shoulder massage. All of which was quite pleasant and enjoyable.
Nicole paid close attention to how I wanted my hair cut and I actually felt like I was listened to which I find rare at hairdressers for some reason. All in all the experience was great and way more than what I thought I'd be getting at a location I had previously considered to be a cheap spot.
There were only a coupe of shortcomings here, which may just be personal opinion, however I would have loved for the entire experience to be longer, as the extras were very relaxing. Lastly, my current barber spends a little more time blending the edges of the cut which i've become used to and find important.
Overall customer experience was amazing and I think is almost as important as the cut itself. I see so many businesses crumble because they don't understand this. All of the staff were great and very welcoming. Will definitely be recommending to friends who get frequent cuts!
Very cool spot to get a haircut! Rimma has golden hands for both men's and women's cuts! Definitely recommend!!
The wait times are getting pretty bad, was there the other day, 2 ppl in front of me plus the 3 that were already getting their hair cut and it took them 45 mins to get to me. I find the waits worse and worse that at times I just leave and come back another day. The quality of the cut is about what you pay for, to be honest I don't think I've ever left being completely satisfied with my cuts, but then again you are only paying 25 dollars. I've been going here since they opened because I couldn't justify paying 55 bucks at a stylist anymore for basic cuts every 5-6 weeks. The turn over rate has improved greatly as when I started years ago here, literally every visit would be a new stylist and I'd very rarely see the same face there twice. Overall a decent experience for what you pay for.
Decent setup. I like to take my son here and get cuts with him. And I really like the ability to check wait times online before I go.
Decent place. You can watch sports while you wait. I love their idea of online checking and tracking your wait time on their app or on screen while waiting at location. They offer good service. I also like their idea of offering free cleanups if you get haircuts from them.
Overall a good experience.
