The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Dixon Road

A couple years ago we visited this Keg and felt rushed on a Saturday night since there was a big line-up to get in. This time (Saturday night) our experience was totally different. We made a 5:45pm reservation through Open Table. No rushing, excellent, friendly service by Lorraine and a totally enjoyable experience.

The food was superb and cooked to perfection. We will certainly visit again!

Good service, quick, relatively clean bathrooms. Poor menu selection for kids, lacking the option to make some of the bigger plates a smaller size. And not very helpful with that either, not all children want chicken nuggets and burgers.

Had high hopes based on the recommendation from the hotel staff. The way just never came by to take my salad plate. When my dinner showed up the steak was overcooked and the lobster was cold. When I realized she wasn't coming back any time soon, I just began eating my steak because I needed to get back to work. When she finally showed up I did tell her the lobster with cold. She asked if she could replace it and I asked how long it would take and she said she would have to find out. I know from personal experience in the restaurant business that a misstep in a meal gets put to the front of the line. She did bring it back fairly quickly and it was hot. In the meantime I was eating and overcooked steak. They did take the price of the lobster off the bill. However, I would have preferred having better service so I could have eaten the steak I ordered.

I've been coming here for a few years now and the experience has always been great from the hosts to the management. Today was no exception; however, my bar server Nick was so phenomenal I had to write him a review. I wasn't having the best day, but he was funny and polite enough to change that. If you're lucky enough to have him as your server you'll see what I mean.

What a busy busy Keg location, I've been to a fair few and this by far was the busiest for tables (downtown bar locations can be busier). Everything was as expected from the keg, good food, good service and a fairly quick turn around. Whilst I wouldn't say it is my favorite location it was a standard keg dinner, which equalled their own high standard.
