Back in the early '60s, this station used to have a rifle range in the basement. My father's gun club used is so that we kids could learn how to handle a rifle safely. I remember walking from home (too young to drive), with the rifle (in its case) to the station on Saturday morning. We had to dry out the range, just about every time, 'cause the basement leaked. Weird to think that no one thought it strange that a 12-14 year old could walk down the street with a rifle.
