Ching Wan Furniture

Forty years ago, my husband bought some super nice Chinese furniture from Hong Kong in order to match pieces we had from Ethan Allen and Ridpath furniture stores. During these years, I had two excellent experiences (last year and in the late 80's) of getting Ching Wan Furniture to repair and restore our dear furnitures, including the Chippendale chairs from Ridpath. For twices, I was very happy with their jobs done, which fully reflected their excellent workmanship and expertise in the field. Their honesty and professionalism has earned my heartfelt respect!

Recently, I am doing an Eclectic Boho design for my daughter's new condo. I asked them to renew an old couch that my daughter has purchased with $50 some years ago. Again, they did not disappoint me.

If I am not at the age for downsizing, I would certainly buy a shoe cabinet and a queen size empire look bed. I would certainly tell my friends and family about your store.

Quiet place, not for those looking for new styles or anything non-wood. The furniture is well made solid wood, not ikea furniture. Prices are hundreds and thousands of CAD. Selection can be somewhat limited if you are looking for a particular look or type of wood. Be prepared to check back for a particular piece to complete your set.

They offer a small selection of Chinese rosewood furniture of good quality that don't crack or are held together by nails. Their selection reflects the genuine art of traditional handmade quality furniture. Prices are usually reflective of this type of furniture but they do have discounts. They also provide repairing or restoration services. $$$
