A nice addition to the neighbourhood in the former Canadian Tire lands. Features pathways with elevation changes, a splash pad, a skating rink, a mixed use field, all helping to soften the concrete landscape. Interesting pavilions dot the paths too. Will be adjacent to the new Bessarion community center. The plaques pay homage to the Huron-Wendat nation.
The park includes a full size soccer/football field, a large children's playground area and a water feature that doubles as a small skating rink in the winter. Plenty of space all around.
Park name was changed (formerly Woodsy Park) by Council as part of a cultural reconciliation with the Wendat people. The new name means “where they had a good beautiful life”.
