Fresh sushi and sashimi plus a friendly staff. Great store to pick up ingredients for Japanese cuisine as well. Will definitely come back.

I've been going to Taro's since they were located in J town. Any time I'm making sushi at home and want some high quality cuts of fish it's the first place that comes to mind. They also have frozen items and some ready to eat options as well. Definitely worth checking out for the sushi lover!

I had to check out this place myself after reading the great reviews, which were accurate. They sell top quality fish and other Japanese grocery products. The staff have great customer service. The place is busy so it is best to call ahead to pick up your order. For sashimi, you choose the fish and they will slice it for you. It is a wonderful unique experience to get high quality food from a market instead of restaurant.

This is a great spot for high quality sushi! This place has some of the highest quality fish I've ever seen in Toronto. The service is great, but it does get quite busy.
