As a visitor from Ottawa, York Muay Thai welcomed me with open arms and I've had nothing but the best experiences at this gym. A very homey gym and some excellent technical instructors and Krus. You can tell that everyone here is passionate about Muay Thai and care for their students - something that is rare. In my one week at YMT I've learned lessons and techniques that I will take with me forever in my Muay Thai journey.
Highly recommend this gym to anyone needing some inspiration in their lives. Also they are superb with the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
An amazing and dedicated community. They are on top of their covid-19 precautions, and do their utmost to provide a great Muay Thai experience in the face of the pandemic. I feel super safe and comfortable attending!!
The kind of gym that really cares about its students and not just about the money. Everybody is very welcoming and you can feel that the team is very passionate about teaching and spreading the art of Muay Thai.
- Excellent instructors and teaching curriculum.
- Unique ranking system enables members to learn from partners with similar skill or look to the more experienced members for advice.
- Extremely welcoming environment
If you're looking for a place to learn or refine your skill then definitely try this place out.
Short and sweet review after training at YMT for almost 2 years: high quality technical instruction; friendly, welcoming, and supportive environment; dedicated instructors who are committed to your growth as an individual and martial artist. The workouts are grueling, and if you’re committed (train 3 - 5 times a week), you can get into phenomenal shape. Even if you’re dead tired, just keep moving. Showing up is half the battle. As you reach new milestones through consistent effort, you’ll see yourself becoming more confident and self disciplined when faced with new challenges.
Love, Respect, Believe.
