Our experience with Blyth Etobicoke has been nothing but positive, from the quality of the course content and instruction to the support provided by the Guidance team and Principal. Everyone goes above and beyond to help the students succeed and ensure a sense of community within the school.
Blyth provided my Son with the environment he needed to be the best he can be. The caring and dedicated staff; administration, teachers, guidance and office staff, everyone is committed to the kids 100%. Taking time to understand each child, their learning styles and personalities, their strengths and weaknesses, then working with them to help them achieve their goals. Blyth has been the best school experience for my Son, he has been happy, engaged and successful, I can't recommend Blyth enough.
This is a placemarker for me to remember a group I attended here.
The teachers at Blyth care deeply about their students and their success- this is incontrovertible. However, I want to take this moment and extend a notable mention to my Grade 12 Advanced Functions teacher, Ms. Leonard. Ms.Leonard uses practical examples to help relate class material to students, which helps understand it on a long-term basis. Of course, one of the benefits of small class sizes at Blyth is that it allows teachers to apply lessons from the textbook to real world applications; for example, one of the activities we did in class this term is build a mock ferris wheel and use trigonometric equations to model the height of the riders. During this term, we learnt countless lessons from how to solve rational inequalities through graphing and how to solve rational equations algebraically. Classes and teachers like this help us utilize academic learning in a truly holistic manner.
