We live in a world of branchless banking; for most of us, unless you're opening a new account or applying for a mortgage, everything can be done electronically by you or by the teller at whatever branch is closest to you.

But what happens when the s*** hits the fan and you urgently need help from your bank manager? Well, I started off by calling customer service, and got nowhere. As it happens, I was working from home today, so for the first time since I opened the acct a year ago, I walked over to my home branch - which is this one, in Forest Hill Village.

The teller was having technical difficulties and my case was something that needed a manager anyways. So she connected me with Bryan Viera, one of the managers. After I explained to him exactly what was going on and gave him necessary contact numbers for verification, he promised he would call after he fixed the problem, then spent the better half of the afternoon untangling a bureaucratic foul up that was in NO WAY his fault or the fault of anyone at this branch.

Around 4 PM, he called me, having resolved the issue that had been me from accessing the funds in my bank account.

I believe that Mr. Viera reports to the branch manager. If you are the branch manager and you are reading this, please know that he did an excellent and timely job of resolving what could have been a very serious problem, and that he provided excellent customer services in the process of doing so.

Absolutely phenomenal customer service! The staff at the BMO Forest Hill branch really go out of their way to satisfy their clients.

They have a great team. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The renovations that took place made the branch look so much better and modern.

The best branch I've ever been to. People that work there are just great. Highly recommend.
