Bumble Bee Academy

We loved BBA. We were only there for a few months, as we had to move due to an emergency. The worst part was leaving BBA. I cried. They helped my son with his socialization, speech and he was SO happy there. The teachers in his cohort (Jennifer, Melanie, Maria) were amazing, loving, caring even in full PPE. Monica and Krista keep everyone informed and up to date and were extremely accommodating.

We were sad to leave, but are still seeing the benefits of my son time at BBA.

We have absolutely loved our experience at Bumble Bee Academy. Our kids have loved it, from the many activities they do throughout the day, to how thoughtful and caring the teachers are, to their love of the delicious food served every day. The growth and development of our children has been incredible - they have learned so much in their time there thanks to the fantastic teachers!

I can't say enough good things about Bumble Bee. Our son leaves tomorrow and we have been so happy with the quality of care that he has received. He has learned so much in the past year, we are very sad to move on. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for childcare on the East side of Toronto. The teachers are wonderful and caring.

We transitioned our son to Bumble Bee Academy several months ago and couldn’t be happier with the move. The teachers in the Preschool room are so warm, affectionate, caring and very professional with the children. The food is catered daily - both healthy and delicious. The emergent style curriculum encourages our son to explore his interests, while challenging him, teaching him new things and offering new experiences regularly. We are so happy with the Program!

My son attends Bumble Bee Academy and I have been so impressed with the quality of the school!
First of all, the staff are very personable and caring. My son is happy to be dropped off, and is in no hurry to leave at the end of the day. From day one he was comfortable taking his nap there, eats well, and loves his teachers. Knowing that he's happy and feels safe makes me feel confident leaving him in their care.
Also, this pre-school does not just take care of children, it also teaches them new skills and content each day. They do group activities to build on core skills/knowledge in all subject areas (math, language, art, science, life skills, etc.) so the children are really being prepared for kindergarten. I also like how they take the children on outings, such as walks in the neighbourhood or walks to the park. There's even an upcoming field trip to the police station! I like that my son isn't spending all day in the same place.
Finally, a unique and awesome feature of Bumble Bee is the parent communication. They use the App HiMama, and send parents updates throughout the day showing you what activities the kids are doing. You can also log into the website and get more detailed lesson plans for each day, if you're interested. I love getting the photos and seeing him happy and engaged in the various activities. I also find it helpful to go through the photos with my son in the evenings to get him talking about his day. The staff are also great about filling you in in person at pick-up/drop off.
Overall, I highly recommend this pre-school!
