  [Sept 2018 Update: The green algae during the summer of 2018 made it a very stinky place and unswimmable. Check conditions before you go. Below is my review from prior wonderful summers there.]
  One of Toronto's best kept secrets. Everyone knows about 'The Beaches' beach but few know about Cherry Beach. Cherry Beach feels more like a cottage-country beach compared to 'The Beaches' Venice Beach vibe. A terrific place to take preschoolers to toss play in the sand and toss pebbles into the water. Wonderful hiking, jogging, biking, running trail goes right past taking you into a couple miles of nature leading you to the Leslie St Spit. NOT dog friendly. Dogs are not permitted on the beach. Bring your dog and you'll have to tie him/her to a tree a few hundred feet away. Convenient parking or accessible by bus. A local favorite.

  LOVE CHERRY BEACH!!! ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL!!!..... Especially when there's a house party on the beach that goes all day and throughout the whole night with firepits blazing all the way till the morning sunrise and on till the afternoon n so on..... So blessed when you're there it's like you are closer to God when you are on the Beach!!! You just feel the tranquility n Love!!!

  Cherry Beach is a not-so-famous spot to relax in Toronto during summertime! And I do hope it keeps like that - perfect for a quiet afternoon, by yourself or with a loved one.
  I found it perfect to swim as well.
  There's free parking spot.
  Best of all - not crowded, not noisy, and almost clean :)

  Love cherry beach, it's a quick place to escape and not feel like your in the city. If your downtown and looking for a beach escape and dont want to travel to the east or west ends of the city than I would recommend checking cherry beach out. One of the greatest things about it is if you drive it's one of the few areas you don't have to pay for parking.

  Very beautiful scenic landscape with a sandy beach. You can rent out equipment here for water sports during the summertime weekdays. You may sun tan, take a walk on the beach, or have a picnic in the park. Also good for walks along the many trails. There is a public washroom here, and free parking. You may grab a bite to eat from the food truck parked at the base of the entrance to the beach. Overall a great place for the family, people with pets, and visitors looking for a quite moment to relax.
