Came here for a graduation ceremony. Right from the beginning, the staff greeted me at the driveway and front entrance. They were so friendly. I love how they make all of the visitors sign in with a piece of ID as well.
My brotherwas in the Navy and he would take me and my girlfriend to HMCS York on a Sunday night as was one of few places to get a Drink so to speak. My Brother had quite a Carreer in the Navy . One day he brought me home a "Chrsystle-Set" and said you can listen to the Hockey games. I listened to the game and the Rocket scored 5 goals against Toronto and I became a "Hab" Fan. When my brother died tthere was no funeral and so the family had no Closure. I took my two grand sons by train to Halifax and the Navy allowed me to do a ceremony on the Ship for my Brother. The Captain gave us a tour of the ship. We went to the Nova Scotia Tattoo that July on my 75th. birthday. My brother served on the "Maggie". He was a Radio operator. He ended up a Captain. He was in charge of all the Sea Cadets at the Kingston Base. He was also stationed in Ottawa.
