  Needs maintenance. There is a note that says they will be doing it. But I haven't seen the progress. I hope they can fix things. 5 stars are for the symbolism of this place. As a park, it's barely 2 stars.

  Rowan Gillespie’s sculpture “The Arrival”. In 1847 Toronto had a population of 20,000. Between July and October of that year almost 40,000 Irish immigrants landed at the city’s waterfront. They were malnourished and poor, and seeking a better life - or any life. Having escaped the atrocities of famine, many were about to experience an unforgiving Canadian winter.

  This park ignites pride from both my Irish and Canadian blood. It is an excellent commemoration for the unfortunate souls sent from Ireland on coffin ships due to famine, and the city which took them in. The statues of the Irish arriving face a stunning view of the city's skyline. The names written on the stone sails sound familiar to anyone with an Irish connection. Thank you for creating this special place to notarize our shared heritage.

  Never new this Park existed, I drive and bicycled past it all the time so wasn't a big deal to check this place out while going by.
  Learned a bit about Toronto's history, saw the Billy Airport entrance. Nice monument. Was curious about the old abondoned building behind the park. Looked interesting.
  Is just something to check out if in the area, not something to make plans to go see etc..

  Nice novelty. Very small area is actually the park. It was a little cold and just a few statues, but the we're definitely interesting.
