Toronto Life magazine recommended La Banane as a great restaurant to experience and they were right. The drink selections were interesting and delicious. The service was attentive and the cuisine was delicious. I am longing for more of the fried chicken.
Amazing food and service. Reservations are tough to get but the food is worth the wait. I recommend being a seafood eater when going here. Try some of their different dishes and have your mind blown.
Incredible food. Incredible service. Awesome atmosphere, very vibrant and fun. Dishes are just the right size and duck breast is a must try! Definitely coming back!!!!
It was good. My friend and I shared a bottle of wine. We had meals. I ordered the salmon dish but was served the pastry covered fish. I let the gentleman running the food orders know that the order was wrong. He took back the plate almost hostilely and said fine I'll bring it right out (without apology) My friend had to wait to eat his dinner.. my salmon came out shortly after.. it was delicious.. all in all a decent place. My friend who is born and raised in France stated rather laughably that it was indeed not a french restaurant as touted.
When you enter you literally get transported to old world charm. Went on a Thursday night and it was a packed house with a more sophisticated crowd. The service was attentive and the meals were beautiful executed with poise and class. The bill was a little bit more pricey however we order seafood and it was expected. Great restaurant for a celebration or anniversary as very romantic but as well cozy. We had the duck, fish, oysters, potato and banana cake which were all outstanding!
