Patois

Patois made our anniversary dinner feel so special. I had my doubts about whether a take-out dinner during lockdown would still feel like a celebration, but WOW -- the food was incredible and beautifully prepared... and it lasted us two days so we could continue celebrating through breakfast and lunch the next day! We can't wait to dine in-person someday :D

Creative and colourful decor, very detailed down to the handle of the door! I ordered takeout through an app and the food was ready as scheduled. The staff who greeted me provided good customer service. When I opened my takeout container, the food was nice and hot! The jerk chicken was juicy and not dry. However, for my palette, I would prefer if the seasoning could penetrate deeper through the chicken and also if the chicken could be spicier.

This has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in the city. I will argue even for take out the staff could be friendlier and more attentive, but the food was incredible. We ordered the pineapple bun burger, pork belly yakisoba, jerk chicken, ox tail, and patties. Portions are a bit on the smaller side, but the flavour packed into it is fantastic. Our favourite was easily the pineapple bun burger; this Jamaican-Chinese fusion turned a childhood food (pineapple bun) into something so much more. The patties were perfectly medium and were so juicy, with the hickory sticks adding a nice smoky flavour. I'm not much of a burger person, but I will rave about this one. The pork belly in the yakisoba was both a nice fatty cut, and well cooked. The jerk chicken was slightly dry, but well seasoned. And the ox tail was amazing - they make a really delicious ox tail gravy to go along with the rice and peas. Last, the patties; I don't know what a traditional beef patty should taste like, regardless these patties were flaky, crunchy, and well-filled. Overall, we will definitely come back once we can dine in again, because I get the feeling there's even more that this restaurant offers than what's currently on the menu

What can ya say about Craig Wong!!? Awesome guy! Awesome chef! ... this place is absolutely fantastic and delicious!!! Staff is friendly,attentive and fantastic!!

Definitely must experience Patois! I had an amazing time when i visited the restaurant. The staff & Natalie are so friendly, and down-to-earth. They also work really hard to get your food and drinks to your table as quickly as possible, while maintaining a safe environment for all. I loved the cocktail options, my favorite is the Raspberry Rosewater Mojito Slushie! And the food is absolutely delicious and authentic. I will be returning and would recommend for anyone who wants to experience a taste of the islands.
